Our Purpose:

It is our purpose to enhance the ministries of those men already involved in fully supported ministry or vocationally supported ministry; to train men to begin a fully supported or vocationally supported ministry; and, to promote the Scriptural maturity of those men and women seeking to become more involved in the spiritual life of their individual congregations.

Our Programs

~20 Month Program~


SBLI offers an intensive and yet achievable 20 month program designed to equip workers for service in the Lord's church.  For those looking for enhancement of an already active ministry the "twice-a-month" class schedule allows time for: ministry, family, and work while pursuing an Associate of Biblical Studies.

 The 20 month training program will also prepare men who are beginning their ministry to move directly into the pulpit and it will allow our young men to get the training they need and get their "feet wet" for their future ministry. 

Finally, this program of 20 very specific textual, growth, and ministry courses will aid in the promotion of the spiritual maturity of godly men and women to better equip them in service to Christ and His church.

~30 Month Program~

SBLI also offers an advanced 30 month program designed to  further equip workers for service in the Lord's church.  This program is an additional 10 courses added at the completion of our 20 Month Program. The successful completion of these 10 courses in conjunction with an Associate of Biblical Studies degree allows the student to receive an Advanced Certificate of Biblical Studies.

~40 Month Program~

Finally, SBLI also offers a 40 month program designed, upon its successful completion, to allow the student to receive a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. This program is an additional 10 courses added at the completion of our 30 Month Program. The successful completion of these additional 10 courses in conjunction with an Advanced Certificate of Biblical Studies degree allows the student to receive a Bachelor of Biblical Studies.
The Southeast Louisiana Bible Institute (SLBI) is conducted within and under the guidelines of the New Testament principles for the church of Christ and for the members of that body who attend SLBI it is our mission to mature the service they render to His church.
